Two new posters for the upcoming Hellboy film have been released, along with info on when a new trailer will drop.
Announced on Twitter, Dark Horse Comics has confirmed that a new red band trailer for Hellboy will be dropping tonight at midnight Easter Time, or 9pm PT. A brief teaser for the trailer featuring all sorts of devilish creatures was released by Lionsgate this morning.
HBO has revealed the final character posters for Game of Thrones Season 8, and as well as serving as a handy reminder of which players are still alive, it also features a couple of notable omissions that may or may not offer a hint about how the final season will play out.

The usual suspects are there - it's no surprise to see Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, and Jon Snow (aka Aegon Targaryen) lounging on the Iron Throne - but HBO certainly wants us to entertain the possibility that the White Walkers could triumph with the inclusion of the Night King in the lineup.
The new posters also give characters who have no interest in ruling (like Arya and Ser Davos) a chance to test out that cold and pointy perch, and, let's face it, a promotional poster is probably as close as Samwell Tarly or Jorah Mormont are likely to get to the seat of power in Westeros.
Update 2/28, 11 a.m. PT: Since Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield's announcement, we learned a bit more about what Pokemon fans can expect in the generation 8 Pokemon adventure coming to Nintendo Switch.
We already have almost two-dozen Pokemon confirmed so far to appear in the Galar region in Sword and Shield. You can check them out in the gallery below.
And while we don't have a ton of detail yet about the region itself yet, like which Pokemon will be version specific, we do know trainers will be exploring the Galar region, which IGN has a full detailed map of for you to check out.
BioWare is making various fan-requested changes to the loot systems in Anthem, and has detailed much of what will be tweaked.
Revealed through an official Reddit post, BioWare lead producer Ben Irvo described changes that are coming to inscriptions, level 30 drop tables and masterwork crafting material requirements. These changes are planned to go live on February 28 or March 1.
Inscriptions are modifiers on items that can grant various improvements while out on expeditions, but not all listed inscriptions are useful. Bonuses can impact health, damage, armor and more, but when an inscription that boosts physical damage is applied to a fully elemental weapon, it’s effectively useless. These ineffective inscriptions are officially going away, allowing for generally better and more effective loot to be acquired.

Halo Infinite will be a "spiritual reboot" for the Halo franchise, according to 343 Industries. In this month's episode of IGN Unfiltered, Ryan McCaffrey sat down with Bonnie Ross, head of 343 Industries, and discussed the development of Halo Infinite, among many other topics (watch the full interview below).
While Halo Infinite is, effectively, Halo 6, the team at 343 Industries is bringing their experience with the entire Halo franchise to bear in developing the new game, which aims to recapture what makes Halo such an iconic franchise. "We're kind of calling it a 'spiritual reboot,'" Ross said, "That's kind of how we talk about it."
According to Ross, 343 had "great learning moments" with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the multiplayer suite in Halo 4, and the approach to REQ packs and free maps in Halo 5 multiplayer, and the studio has been keeping those moments in mind while crafting Halo Infinite.

In 2014, developer Creative Assembly released Alien: Isolation, a survival-horror game set 15 years after Ellen Ripley destroyed the Nostromo in the 1979 film. Five years after its debut, the game's story about Amanda Ripley is being expanded with a new digital series using a combination of new animations and original cinematic cutscenes from the game.
The game -- and now the series -- centers on Ellen's daughter, Amanda, who is searching for what really happened to her mother. When the Nostromo's flight recorder is discovered by a deep-space salvage team, Amanda journeys to Sevastopol Station, which leads her on a terrifying adventure filled with deadly aliens and murderous androids. I wouldn’t say it’s the best piece of VR content I’ve played, but certainly my most fondly remembered is a scene during PlayStation Worlds’ 'The London Heist' where you're forced to sit down in a pub while an East End mob boss just talks at you for ages. I love it because, while he drones on about someone called French Tony, the game just stops paying attention to what you’re doing. You’re at this table with a lighter, a cigar, a phone and more, and no one tells you can’t just throw them at this guy. So you do. I’ve spent more time than I’d care to admit laughing as I bounce that phone off his forehead, or pretend to set fire to his groin. It’s a pure, inconsequential act of messing about. I love it.

Digital streaming network Rooster Teeth's ambitious new animated sci-fi series titled gen:LOCK, features an impressive roster of voice actors like Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), and David Tennant (Doctor Who). Set 50 years in the future, the series centers on a courageous team capable of controlling powerful mecha in a fight against an oppressive authoritarian force.
Williams portrays Cammie MacCloud, a new recruit who attempts gen:LOCK, which allows her mind to be uploaded into one of the giant mech suits. The Game of Thrones actress spoke with IGN about what initially attracted her to the project. "I thought Cammie was so interesting," Williams explained, adding "and I thought that I could have a lot of fun playing her. I felt like I could bring her to life, and do her justice. So I was flattered that they wanted me to be a part of it."
Horizon: Zero Dawn, which is celebrating its second anniversary today, has officially sold “well over" 10 million copies worldwide.
Via the PlayStation Blog, Guerrilla Games managing director Hermen Hulst revealed the number, saying “The idea that we were able to bring Aloy’s journey to so many players is astounding. We’ve been deeply moved by the enormous amount of fan creations you’ve posted online, as well as the heartfelt letters you’ve sent sharing your favorite moments from Aloy’s journey."
Along with announcing this sales milestone, Hulst took the opportunity to reveal little-known details about the development of the game. He revealed that prototyping gameplay elements began as far back as 2010, when most of the studio was still finishing Killzone 3. Because they didn’t yet have an in-game model for Aloy, they used the model for Jammer, an intruder pilot from Killzone 3, in early testing phases of the game.

Season 8 brings another big shakeup in the world of Fortnite with new volcanic and jungle locations, a cannonball weapon, and the ability to allow other players to help complete your challenges.
A volcano has emerged from depths of the map, creating a jungle and lagoon in the surrounding areas. In exchange for saying goodbye to Wailing Woods, Lazy Links, and Tomato Temple, three new locations have appeared on the map. Volcanic Vents, Lazy Lagoon, and Sunny Steps can all be found in the northeastern portion of the map.
A new Pirate Cannonball can be found throughout the map. Players can position the cannon, aim, and fire a ball to deal 100 damage on a direct hit and 50 damage for anything caught in the radius. You can even throw yourself into the cannon to launch yourself wherever you'd like to go.
Earlier today, Nintendo, in collaboration with The Pokémon Company and Game Freak, officially revealed Pokémon Sword and Shield, giving fans their first looks at the eighth generation of Pokémon.
In addition to revealing Sword and Shield's three starters, today's Direct featured roughly one minute of game footage, highlighting 13 other Pokémon that'll inhabit the new region of Galar. Click through the gallery below, or scroll to the bottom of this page, to see which 16 Pokémon have, so far, been confirmed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch RPGs.
While not confirmed, it's safe to assume Sword and Shield will also include the evolutionary families of the Pokémon seen above. If so, that would add the likes of Raichu and Snorlax, among others, to the roster. Assuming Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble each evolve twice, as is standard with starter Pokémon, that would bring the current creature count to 37.

Get your pirate gear in order, Season 8 of Fortnite is set to launch tomorrow and Epic has detailed the release date and time of downtime.
Season 7 will conclude at 1am PT on February 28 and downtime for the 8.0.0 patch will begin immediately after. Patch notes detailing any new weapons, map changes, or gameplay alterations will be released by Epic as soon as downtime begins.
Downtime between updates typically lasts about an hour, but Epic has confirmed this is a larger patch and downtime will take longer.

A scripted series titled, Book of Enchantments is coming to Disney+, according to Variety
The series is reportedly being based off of the Villains book series by Serena Valentino, and will focus on iconic Disney villains.
Characters such as Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, the Wicked Queen from Snow White, and others will have their origin stories featured.
Michael Seitzman will be writing and producing Book of Enchantments under his Maniac Productions, with ABC Signature Studios on to produce.
The Book on Enchantments development reportedly came after the heavily Disney-inspired TV series, Once Upon a Time, finished its seventh and final season on ABC last spring.
Beverly Hills, 90210 is being revived with a twist: many of the original cast members are returning, but they’ll be playing themselves.
Announced by Fox, this will be a six-episode event series, and will reunite cast members Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling. Notably, Luke Perry and Shannen Doherty have not been announced for the revival, which is scheduled to air in Summer 2019.
Written and executive produced by Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler, the show will feature the returning actors as “heightened versions” of themselves in an irreverent drama that is inspired by their real lives and relationships.
Warner Bros. confirmed Wednesday the release date for the Aquaman sequel, which is set to premiere in theaters on Dec. 16, 2022, according to EW.
It was announced earlier in February that Aquaman 2 was officially in development, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, co-writer of the first film, writing the sequel's script.
Aquaman pulled in $1.1 billion globally at the box office since its release in December, making it the highest-grossing DCEU film in history.

Game streaming services like, Parsec, Shadow, and NVIDIA’s GeForce Now all aim to bring the graphical beauty of PC gaming to your other devices, even if they don’t house gaming-caliber hardware. Shadow’s $139.99 Ghost (See it on Shadow's website) box, in particular, aims to replace your gaming PC by allowing you to play any game on a tiny, low-powered box—with GTX 1080-level graphics.
Director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that both free and paid DLC is in the works for Kingdom Hearts 3.
In an interview with Japanese publication Dengeki Online (via Google Translate), Nomura revealed that free DLC would likely come to the game as incremental updates as they are completed, and paid DLC would be larger, and possibly grouped together to be released before the end of 2019. One such free update may include a Critical Mode difficulty level.
Paid DLC would likely expand the story, potentially filling in details on characters that perhaps weren’t fully explored in the main game.
Just six episodes into Season 2, it's been announced that Star Trek: Discovery has been renewed for a third season, according to Variety.
Co-executive producer and writer, Michelle Paradise, will be joining Alex Kurtzman as co-showrunner.
"Michelle joined us midway through season two and energized the room with her ferocious knowledge of ‘Trek,’” Kurtzman told Variety. “Her grasp of character and story detail, her drive and her focus have already become essential in ensuring the ‘Trek’ legacy, and her fresh perspective always keeps us looking forward. I’m proud to say Michelle and I are officially running ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ together.”
Both Marvel and DC have released their solicitations for May 2019. This summer looks to be a huge one for the comic book industry, what with both publishers using Free Comic Book Day to tease major villain-centric stories and debuting several other major projects over the course of the month. Those projects include everything from the Conan-heavy Savage Avengers to the zombie-themed DCeased to what may be the final Batman epic from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.

Warner Bros. Television announced Wednesday that Joshua Orpin has officially been cast as Connor Kent, also known as Superboy, in the second season of DC Universe's Titans.
Orpin will be a series regular for the upcoming season. He is known for his role in the feature film, The Neon Spectrum, along with shorts and having numerous stage credits.

Amazon's Lord of the Rings prequel series may be at least a year from its debut, but the company has begun quietly teasing this highly ambitious, highly expensive project. A series of tweets from the official "The Lord of the Rings on Prime" Twitter account offer a few subtle clues as to when the series might take place and what pieces of J.R.R. Tolkien's lore the series will focus on.
Little by little, that account has been filling in a map of Middle Earth while quoting portions of the iconic "Ring Verse" that details the creation of Sauron's Rings of Power. Sony has revealed the March 2019 games coming to PlayStation Plus members, featuring Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness.
Announced on the PlayStation Blog, the updated first-person shooter Modern Warfare Remastered can be played in 4K on PS4 Pro. The Witness, a first-person puzzle game set on a mysterious island, was made by Braid creator Jonathan Blow. Both games will be available to download from March 5 - April 1, 2019.

Tidal Basin, which is coming shortly after launch, will “reveal a new challenging stronghold held by the Black Tusks.” Operation Dark Hours is also coming soon after launch, and will be an 8-player raid: a franchise first for The Division.
Episode 1, D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions is coming summer 2019 and will be based in the surrounding areas of Washington in two additional main missions and a new game mode that investigates the fate of a lost convoy.
Halo 4, which launched on Xbox 360 in November 2012, was originally pitched as a launch title for Xbox One. When Ross originally pitched Halo 4, it was set to be a launch title for Xbox One, but when it was decided the game would launch as an "end of life-cycle" Xbox 360 title, a new plan was formed. Halo games take a minimum of three years to build, according to Ross, and moving Halo 4 away from the Xbox One release window created a gap in the launch portfolio of the new console.
There’s something inherently likeable about the SteamWorld series. Its hand-drawn sprites, or sheer commitment to cheeriness or unerring focus on a single, tight, mechanical design stretched to game length – one or all of these will tug a smile from players’ cold hearts eventually, no matter the game. The side-effect is that the whole SteamWorld brand has given developer Image & Form the enviable opportunity to consistently try new things, while still attracting a captive audience.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a game chock full of death. Half-eaten corpses on the ground, bodies burning at the stake, and cities driven mad by disease. Microsoft has announced the March 2019 lineup of Xbox Games With Gold, which includes Metal Gear, Star Wars, Garden Warfare and Adventure Time games.

It's official: the full 2019 Pokemon game for Nintendo Switch is called Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The pair of games is slated for release in "late 2019" and will be set in a new region called Galar, which bears some resemblance to England. The starter Pokemon this time around are a grass chimp named Grookey, a fire rabbit named Scorbunny, and a water lizard called Sobble.

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have announced Pokemon Sword and Shield.
The announcement was accompanied by the first footage of the newest Pokemon title and the reveal that the it will take place in the Galar region.
We also got a glimpse of the new grass, fire, and water starters - the Chimp Pokemon Grookey, the Rabbit Pokemon Scorbunny, and Water Lizard Pokemon Sobble.
Pokemon Sword and Shield will release worldwide in late 2019.

Mortal Kombat 11 was officially revealed during the 2018 Game Awards with a gore-filled trailer, followed by a gameplay reveal January 17. The release date for Mortal Kombat 11 is April 23, 2019, so there's plenty of time for NetherRealm Studios to tease more characters, more editions, and other Mortal Kombat 11 extras and surprises.
We now know Johnny Cage will be in Mortal Kombat 11, bringing another classic character into the new Mortal Kombat.

Next week is a busy one for home video releases. As is the case every week, there are quite a few anime series coming home to Blu-ray for the first time, but there are some notable 4K Blu-ray releases from Disney, as well. Specifically, Captain America: The First Avenger and The Little Mermaid are getting the ultra-high definition treatment on February 26. Wreck-It Raplh 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet comes home for the first time, also available on 4K Blu-ray, making it a busy week from the House of Mouse.
Over the last decade, the video game industry has seen a rise in prominent indie games on platforms like Steam and Xbox Live Arcade. It signaled to developers everywhere that ideas could be created by nearly anyone wanting to make them. Black developers have taken advantage of this as well, home-brewing games that feature their own takes on various genres. African Americans may only make up only 2.5 percent of all video game developers, but that doesn’t mean they’re not putting time and effort towards building their own development studios.

A new poster for the upcoming X-Men film, Dark Phoenix, has been revealed along with information on when we’ll be seeing the next trailer.
Revealed on Twitter, the poster came with the brief caption "The new #DarkPhoenix poster has arrived. Trailer tomorrow night!"

The poster centers on Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix and features several other X-Men characters, including Professor X, Magneto, Beast, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Quicksilver and more. It (mostly) cuts the typically good and evil characters down the middle, with Phoenix depicted as divided between the two.

THQ Nordic GmbH, best known as the publisher of the Darksiders series, has apologized for hosting an Ask Me Anything on a site that has been blacklisted by Google for "suspected child abuse content."
The official THQ Nordic GmbH Twitter account revealed this morning that it would be doing an AMA on 8Chan, adding “we have no idea why.” This was followed up by a tweet saying “The opportunity was here and we took it, we got apporached
in a very friendly and polite manner and were assured, said person (shoutout to Mark) will take care of the nasty stuff. so, here we are."
