An Assassin's Creed Odyssey joke has come full circle thanks to a mercenary Ubisoft recently introduced to the epic RPG.

Ubisoft announced today that a new mercenary is now available in Odyssey, known as Testiklos the Nut. That descriptor of his name is notable because Testiklos is actually the brother of a Spartan Olympic champion the player's protagonist meets during the course of Odyssey's campaign. That man's name is Testikles.

This is an (almost) spoiler-free review of Netflix's new teen-horror series Chambers, all 10 episodes of which are streaming on Netflix.

Netflix has been delving into the young adult programming landscape for a while now, but with its new horror series Chambers, they manage to deliver something strange and unique but ultimately uneven. Whilst the slow-burn chiller definitely isn't for everyone and doesn't fully deliver on the mystery at its core, genre fans will still likely be intrigued by the atmospheric offering.

Set in the sprawling landscape of Arizona, Chambers centers on a teenage girl, Sasha, (Sivan Alyra Rose) who suffers an unexpected heart attack during a moment of intimacy with her boyfriend. She almost dies but is saved by an unexpected heart transplant, and quickly becomes drawn into the privileged and alien world of the donor's family. The first couple of episodes of Chambers offer up a chilling and often visually distant world which is clearly separated into the haves and have nots. Sasha's world is working class, dusty, and rural, but the donor - Becky - and her family come from a world of clean lines, white marble, and glass.

The Rivers of London series of novels by Ben Aaronovitch is set to be adapted to television by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s Stolen Picture production company.

Reported by Deadline, the first novel, titled The Rivers of London in the U.K. and Midnight Riot in the U.S., will be adapted into an 8-10 episode first season, with subsequent seasons potentially incorporating multiple novels. The novel follows Peter Grant, a young Metropolitan Police officer who encounters a ghost and is recruited into a police branch that focuses on magic and the supernatural.

No broadcasters or video-on-demand platforms have yet been pitched, though the series is intended to broadcast globally. Pegg, Frost, Aaronovitch and Stolen Picture’s Miles Ketley are set to executive produce the project.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's new Operation Spectre Rising update is now live on PlayStation 4, with PC and Xbox One releases likely to follow next week if past updates are any indication.

A press release describes Operation Spectre Rising as an “assassin-themed update” that brings new maps, new modes, a new specialist, and lots more – including changes to the Blackout battle royale mode and new cosmetics. Some content in this update is free, while other parts will require the paid Black Ops Pass to access.

Included for free is the new Assassin specialist, who has smoke grenades and a “Shadow Blade” that allows for targeted melee kills. Blackout’s standard map has also been flooded by the Hydro Dam exploding, while the Zombies mode will get new weapons and challenges through the Operation Spectre Rising event. Game of Thrones Ratings: The Long Night Is Most Watched Episode Ever

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3, "The Long Night," is the most watched episode of Game of Thrones during an initial airing night ever, bringing in 17.8 million viewers.

This massive number includes two airings on HBO from Sunday night as well as streaming viewers from HBO Now and HBO Go, beating out the previous gross audience high of 17.4 million viewers for the Season 8 premiere episode; the total viewers of the premiere episode has now surpassed 38 million viewers, according to HBO.

The initial 9:00 p.m. airing on its own brought in 12.02 million viewers, which also marks a season high for that time period broadcast. According to Variety, this makes "The Long Night” the second most watched episode of Thrones for linear viewers, clocking in just behind the Season 7 finale, which brought in 12.1 million linear viewers on its initial airing.

This game is called Time Stories, and its nine and a half diverse scenarios have taken me all throughout human history – eight and a half of which arrived as expansions after the base set launched in 2015. Four years later, its latest expansion, Madame, is closing out the current iteration of the game, with the following expansions ushering it into entirely new territory. I’ll get to my impressions of Madame later on, but let’s start with what Time Stories actually is first.

People Are Dissecting Details From Leaked Borderlands 3 Footage

A 26-second long clip of what appears to be Borderlands 3 has been discovered by eagle-eyed gamers on Twitch.

User vestan uploaded the clip to ResetEra, and it has since done the rounds on various other forums. Allegedly the footage was found on a Gearbox Twitch channel that was testing Borderlands 3’s new Echocast feature, and re-uploaded after the original video was taken down.

The clip itself features very little in terms of traditional gameplay, but what it does show informs us of several new details. The UI shows off the fact that weapons now have multiple firing modes that can be swapped between using the d-pad. In the case of the gun being used in the clip, that relates to rate of fire, but a weapon found in a chest can change between fire and radiation elements. Radiation is a new element, and could possibly replace the previous games’ slag.

A Marvel fan had to be taken to hospital after crying too much during Avengers: Endgame.

As reported by The News, 21-year-old Xiaoli from Ningbo, China was rushed to hospital after she started showing signs of hyperventilation while watching the film.

The report cites an emergency doctor explaining the situation: “We thought that her crying had caused ‘hyperventilation’. We immediately gave her oxygen and relaxed her emotions by appeasement, reducing her hyperventilation symptoms."

John Singleton, the famed director behind such films as Boyz n the Hood, died today in Los Angeles at the age of 51. Singleton suffered a major stroke last week and was taken off life support by his family just a few hours ago.

As first reported by TMZ, Singleton checked himself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles last week after he returned from Costa Rica and was experiencing problems with his legs. He suffered the stroke in his hospital room and then went into a coma.

Today, John Singleton's family made the tough decision to take him off life support. After he passed, they released a statement saying, "We are sad to relay that John Singleton has died. John passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends. We want to thank the amazing doctors at Cedars-Sinai Hospital for their expert care and kindness and we again want thank all of John’s fans, friends and colleagues for all of the love and support they showed him during this difficult time.”

LEGO has revealed five new Harry Potter sets that will be released June 1, along with an Advent calendar that will be available as of September 1.

The Harry Potter LEGO sets are throwbacks to the third and fourth films – The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Goblet of Fire, with some of the sets being very similar to previous LEGO sets from the time, such as The Knight Bus and Hagrid's Hut.

The Night King has finally met his end thanks to none other than Arya Stark -- and it’s a moment that the Game of Thrones showrunners have been building towards for a long time.

“For, god, I think it’s three years now we’ve known that it was gonna be Arya who delivers that fatal blow

,” executive producer and writer David Benioff said during the post-show “Inside the Episode” breakdown.

The Valryian steel Catspaw dagger can be traced all the way back to Season 1 where it was used by an assassin in an attempt to kill Bran Stark. It turned out the ornate blade belonged to Littlefinger, who tried to pin the assassination attempt on Tyrion. The dagger wound up back in Littlefinger’s possession, and he held it up to Ned Stark’s throat when he betrayed him to the Lannisters. Game of Thrones finally delivered the much-hyped Battle of Winterfell in "The Long Night." Many characters had their big, heroic moments as the living made their final stand against the dead, but it turned out that the smallest hero of Winterfell made the biggest impact.

One of the best moments in "The Long Night" came when Lyanna Mormont, the fiery, underage ruler of Bear Island made her final stand against an undead giant. Lyanna may have joined the dead in this episode, but not before she brought down one of the mightiest warriors in the Night King's army. We'd expect nothing less from the tiniest badass in Westeros.

Jeremy Thorpe.
Jeremy Thorpe (29 April 1929 – 4 December 2014) was a British politician who served as Member of Parliament for North Devon from 1959 to 1979, and as leader of the Liberal Party between 1967 and 1976. After graduating from Oxford University, he became one of the Liberals' brightest stars in the 1950s. As party leader, Thorpe capitalised on the growing unpopularity of the Conservative and Labour parties to lead the Liberals through a period of electoral success. This culminated in the general election of February 1974, when the party won 6 million votes. In May 1979 he was tried at the Old Bailey on charges of conspiracy and incitement to murder, arising from an earlier relationship with Norman Scott, a former model. Thorpe was acquitted on all charges, but the case, and the scandal, ended his political career. By the time of his death he was honoured for his record as an internationalist, a supporter of human rights, and an opponent of apartheid and all forms of racism.
