Lauren Cohan, who portrays Maggie on the hit zombie show has revealed why she's leaving The Walking Dead after Season 9.
Speaking to AP, Cohan explained after eight years working on the series she needed a change. Cohan had felt a bit too comfortable with her role on the show, and as such chose to depart The Walking Dead after making her debut all the way back in Season 2.
“Eight years is a really long time to be in those emotional depths," Cohan said. "And it’s really fun for me because I never thought about drama as much when I started this career and I always kind of assumed I’d do like light fare."
