We had an opportunity to go hands-on with a BUNCH of games from Nintendo's Nindies Showcase at GDC 2019! Here's a quick rundown of our top picks:
Stranger Things 3: The Game
If watching the new season of Stranger Things just isn't enough of a nostalgia blast, Stranger Things 3: The Game should provide some extra throwback. With its retro pixel art style, and gameplay evocative of SNES action-adventure games like Goof Troop, the game adaptation of the Netflix hit is simple to get the hang of and definitely more fun with a co-op partner.
Puzzles and combat were definitely simple to breeze through in our demo, but the chance to experience the events of Season 3 — and dive a little deeper into them — is obviously an exciting one for fans of the show. - Jonathon Dornbush
