Doom Eternal will be released on November 22, and it's got a 2-on-1 multiplayer mode.
Announced at Bethesda's E3 conference, Doom Eternal will take us to some interesting new places, including Heaven and the Doom Sentinel homeworld.
Also announced was Battlemode, a multiplayer mode that pits two demons against a single Doom Slayer. It's apparently "strategic, competitive and a ton of fun."
A collector's edition was also announced, including a wearable Doom Slayer helmet.
On the one hand, Eternal looks like more of the goodness we got in Doom 2016, but on the other, the shotgun has a freaking grappling hook on it now. In terms of story, id has said: "We're not just making a Doom game anymore, we're building a Doom universe."
