Members of the press were able to attend early screenings of Stephen King's IT Chapter Two, and the first impressions are a bit of mixed.
Many say that IT Chapter Two doesn't quite live up to the high standards of the first film, but it still has some great scary moments and the cast is fantastic. A lot of praise was also given to Bill Hader, who many say stole the movie.

IGN's own Jim Vejvoda said that IT Chapter Two "can't quite stick the landing nor live up to the high expectations set by Chapter One," although there still are some "creepy set-pieces & solid perfomances to make for an effective albeit formulaic conclusion."
