Nintendo has announced two Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournaments: the North America Open 2019 and the European Smash Ball Team Cup 2019.
The North America Open will split up the United States, Canada and Mexico into four regions for qualifiers: Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, or Southeast. These qualifying rounds and their subsequent final rounds will be held online, with the first beginning February 2 at 9am PT.
These online qualifiers will consist of three single elimination tournaments per region, and once all regional qualifiers are finished, 12 players will move on to the final event at PAX East in Boston on March 30. Registration and specific dates for each region’s qualifiers can be found through Battlefly.
