Doom Patrol Gets Emotional (Again)

Warning: Full spoilers for Doom Patrol, Season 1, Episode 11 below. If you need a refresher on where we left off, here's our review for Season 1, Episode 10.

Doom Patrol may play host to the most miserable and dysfunctional superheroes you'll find on television, but at least the series isn't afraid to allow these characters to grow and evolve. What passes for an overarching narrative in Season 1 is almost always a secondary concern compared to the emotional arcs of characters like Negative Man, Elasti-Woman and Robotman. And because the series is so darned good at making you connect with these characters and feel their pain, that flimsy narrative isn't a problem. "Frances Patrol" is yet another example of this fact.
