The Conjuring duo, James Wan and Gary Dauberman, will work together on a big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's novel, Salem's Lot, according to THR.
Dauberman will write the script and hold the role of executive producer, with Wan signed on to produce alongside Roy Lee, producer on 2017's It, and Mark Wolper, who executive produced the short-lived Salem's Lot TV series adaptation from 2004. A director has yet to be announced for the project.
Salem's Lot is a horror novel by King that was published in 1975, and was only his second published book. The story follows a writer who returns to his hometown in Maine after 25 years and realizes that everyone in town are slowly becoming vampires.
