Warning: Full spoilers for all of HBO's Game of Thrones.
"Prophecy is like a half-trained mule,” Tyrion once said. “It looks as though it might be useful but the moment you trust in it, it kicks you in the head."
Notably, this illuminating line never made it to TV, appearing only in George R. R. Martin's pages. The sentiment remains the same however. The meaning still overtly applicable. People can warp and twist things around to fit with any prophesy, and those who chase down prophesies are likely to stumble in irrevocable ways.
Now that HBO's Game of Thrones has closed up shop, airing its series finale "The Iron Throne," we can look back and try to see what lined up prophesy-wise. Even when those visions and predictions were hazy and double-laced at best.
